MENTAL BREAKDOWN AND IT'S SIGNS: 

   Do you feel tired foggy and have troubled concentrating ? Or you may feeling depressed or haven't  been getting enough sleep or too much sleep while these symptoms can happen to anyone once in a while piled together they can make for some  classic signs   that you may be really mentally breaking down.

  WHAT MENTAL BREAKDOWN MEANS:

You may have  heard the term   "Mental   Breakdown" or   "Nervous breakdown". You may even be guilty of using these terms casually . The term is no longer used as   a clinical  term by medical community. And, a    nervous breakdown is not considered   as a mental illness   ,it is generally viewed as a period of time   when an over-whelming amount of stress affects an individual  to function . The stress can be physical   or mental,   and the   symptoms of a mental breakdown can subtly    sneak   up on you   and grow out of control if you don't catch these signs early.


SIGNS OF MENTAL BREAKDOWN  :

1.  Too much sleep or not  much sleep : We often get too much sleepy on weekends after long week of work or when we  are   physically sick but the thing is that our   mental health can be sick as well and our sleep patterns    may be affected because of it .You may   be using sleep as an escape from reality , Sleeping seems  much easier to handle than the reality .Or you  may begin to exhibit the symptoms of insomnia because your brain  is too overactive   at night   because of stress.    Try to unwind  your mind before sleep or may try to follow  odds you have   heard before   a    good book  and a cup of tea is a good place to  start if you can't seem to sleep lately.  Less stimulation is better . Don't watch tv or get on your  phone before sleep. we need to wean ourselves from   overly active brain to calm one by choosing less intense   activities to transition to sleepy time .

2.   Signs of anxiety and depression  :It's one of the most common symptom  of mental  breakdown  .May be you feel tensed or dizzy all the time   or find yourself   ruminating on stressful ideas   and situations .Or   may be you find yourself suddenly    crying for   no reason  or feeling an intense emotion like   Guilt. These  signs   are important to catch early   on.

3.Brain fog :   It's a term often used when one exhibits  several    symptoms   related to their   ability to think. Perhaps you may have difficulty   concentrating   or you   have been extremely indecisive . You   can try to stay in  present  by focusing   on the task in hand  to distract yourself from ruminating on those worrisome thoughts.

4. Poor Hygiene :  It's   a sign of self neglect. You suddenly    feel that   you don't have energy   or  don't feel the  need to take care of yourself as much . It can be a sign of depression  and mental disorder as well. It's best to recognize that something is wrong and seek help.  

5.Withdrawal from social events :  Withdrawing  from your friends and social events could be an added sign that you are mentally breaking  down. Human being needs socialization  and when this is compromised mental health can pay  this price .Try getting back to socialization  slowly if you find it  difficult reach out  to your friends through text. Share a funny or insightful video . Isolating ourselves can one of  the biggest mistakes to your mental health. 

6.. Difficult Breathing : Do you often feel tightness in you chest or find yourself breathing  rapidly this is another  sign of stress Take the time to slow your breathing and relax  it may relieve some of the stress we carry day to day . Take deep breaths you may feel a lot better , I know I do.

7.You may feel physical pain as well : Physical pain can often show up when we  are severely  stressed. This can be in the from of light headache to  a blaring migraine or a stomach ache .It is best to talk to a Doctor right away if you still feel  the emotional pain persisting    as well that is just a valid reason to seek help from a mental health doctor.

8.You suddenly  eat too much or too little :  Severe stress can affect our appetite   as well . The stress hormone cortisol can suddenly cause us to crave for certain unhealthy foods high in fats and sugars remember you may neglect self care due to stress which means you  don't want to put  effort to prepare a healthy breakfast or dinner. Be aware of this and that tell yourself   spending some time in the kitchen and preparing your favorite  dish can have some serious benefits    to your mental health.

                                                                                                     Mental health is a serious issue  and need not to be neglected. Take your time healing ,as long as you want.
